It was a miniature Sound Transmission Shell.
Qiao Xixi took the Sound Transmission Shell and held it to her ear. All she could hear was the whistling of wind. Just as she was about to pull it away, a weak cry for help suddenly came from inside.
"Sea Cliff Deep Gully... Help... help... the Prince..."
Qiao Xixi’s pupils contracted.
"Little Imp, what kind of place is the Sea Cliff Deep Gully?"

"Xixi, what’s going on?"
Jin Ling had also walked out of the stone house.
Qiao Xixi snapped back to her senses. "Xijing and the others were most likely kidnapped. They’re being held deep in the ocean. Let’s go back inside and talk."
"Okay."
"What should we do with Bulin? Can we trust what he said?"
"He wouldn’t joke about his own life. What he said should be true. For now, break his arms and legs and lock him up. We’ll decide what to do after we find Xijing and the others."
"Okay."
That night, during dinner, the cubs could sense that the atmosphere among the adults was off. They all obediently ate their fill and went off to play by themselves.
Qiao Xixi, Feiyan, and the others were sitting at the dining table. Jin Ling poured her a glass of water.
Feiyan was the first to speak. "We didn’t find any mermen bodies on the mountain outside the tribe. Bulin also admitted he was lying, just to distract us."
Qiao Xixi nodded. "Something definitely happened on the island. The entire merman tribe was likely taken to the Sea Cliff Deep Gully."
Sunxiao’s snake-like eyes darkened. "The Sea Cliff Deep Gully."
Qiao Xixi looked at Sunxiao. "Sunxiao, you know of this place?"
Sunxiao nodded, his expression grim. "I wouldn’t say I’m familiar with it, but I’ve heard of it from my time traveling. They say it’s where the sea ends. Underwater, it’s a massive cliff, and it’s filled with monsters no one has ever seen before. If they were taken to a place like that..."
Sunxiao didn’t finish his sentence, but his meaning was clear.
"Xiya said Xijing’s scales haven’t completely faded yet. That means we still have a chance."
The males all understood the implication behind Qiao Xixi’s words.
Feiyan was the first to lose his composure. "Xixi, you’re a Land Beast! You can’t swim well at all. From the sound of it, that place is dangerous even for mermen. How are you going to save them?"
’It’s not that I don’t know the danger,’ Qiao Xixi thought, ’but am I supposed to just stand by and watch Xijing and the others wait for death?’
Jin Ling usually let Qiao Xixi make her own decisions, but today he frowned deeply. "Xixi, we’ll figure something out. You stay here in the tribe. Don’t go anywhere."
"We don’t have Xijing’s location bound at all. If you guys go, where would you even start looking for him? If I go, the Little Imp can at least point me in the right direction. It’ll save a lot of trouble."
Sunxiao’s expression was cold. "It’s too dangerous."
Sangze’s dark eyes swirled with thick killing intent. "Little female, you’re being very disobedient."
Qiao Xixi knew it was a huge risk and that it would be hard to convince them right away. "Let me think it over. I’ll tell you what I’ve decided once I have a clear plan."
With that, Qiao Xixi turned and went back into the stone house.
The killing intent in Sangze’s eyes intensified. "Tiger Beast City. We should have annihilated them before."
Jin Ling’s brow was furrowed tightly. "Xixi won’t give up easily. It’s better to hear her out tomorrow morning than to have her sneak off on her own like Xiya did."
Feiyan felt a nameless rage building in his heart. ’If I’d known this would happen, I would have tied that fish up and dragged him here myself.’
"You’re really going to let Xixi go to some godforsaken place we’ve never even heard of?"
Jin Ling pressed his lips together, finally saying in a low voice, "Trust Xixi."
After saying this, he also stood up and entered the stone house.
When Qiao Xixi entered the stone house, she saw Xiya lying in bed, staring at her with wide, expectant eyes.
Any hesitation she’d felt just moments before instantly hardened into resolve.
"Why aren’t you asleep yet?"
"Mother..."
Qiao Xixi lay down beside her, gathered her into her arms, and patted her back gently.
"Don’t do anything foolish again. Mother will definitely find a way to find your father."
Thinking of her missing father, Xiya felt like crying again. But she knew her mother must be feeling awful right now, so she held back her tears.
Though her eyes were open, Qiao Xixi’s consciousness drifted into her private space.
"Little Imp, give me a plan to rescue Xijing."
The Little Imp: "??"
"Seriously, Host? You think I’m omnipotent?"

"Did you guys talk it over?"
